Reclaiming Lost Pets

If your pet is located at the shelter, you must come in person to identify your animal. You must also provide proof that the animal is, in fact, your animal with such items as:

  • Dog tags
  • Pictures
  • Vet records
  • Etc.

Impound and Boarding Fees

Animals that are housed at the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) are charged $10 per day for boarding in addition to any fees that may be imposed by the specific locality for pickup by an animal control officer. If you cannot afford the fees, arrangements can be made so that the animal may be returned to you.

Do not let fees prevent you from collecting your animal as there are options.

For the Safety of You & Your Pet

When you come to collect your animal, please make sure to bring a collar and a leash for dogs and a carrier for cats. Animals have to leave the building by leash or contained in some way for their own safety and the safety of their owners.
