Volunteer for the RCACP

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection welcomes Friends of the RCACP volunteers.  

Friends of the RCACP is an extension of the RVSPCA Volunteer Program designed to improve the quality of life for the homeless animals at the RCACP. 

To become a Friend of the RCACP, you must be 18 + years old, an active RVSPCA volunteer and complete all required orientation and trainings.

Friend’s volunteer opportunities will include:

  • Greeter/Escort
  • Relinquishment and Redemption Counseling
  • Photography (pets awaiting a home or rescue)
  • Rescue desk (networking pets)
  • Shelter Aide
  • Bathing and grooming
  • Dog Walker (dogs awaiting a home or rescue)
